Mission Statement

To provide the highest standard of diagnostic and rehabilitative audiological services, complimented by leading practice in hearing conversation.

Highly trained audiologists

At Arafura Audiology and Alice Audiology, we believe that optimal levels of hearing care begin with being able to assess each client's specific needs through great diagnostic skills. The clinician must then apply a thorough knowledge of the full range of hearing treatments and solutions available today.

For this reason we hire only university trained Audiologists in our clinics.  With skills acquired through education and vocational training provided within our clinics, our audiologists are able to manage diverse case loads, including private clients, government funded clients, children, and regular worker's compensation and rehabilitation cases.  In addition, our audiologists have the skills to work with industry and perform for Ear, Nose & Throat Specialists.

Our Audiologists are also fully accredited under the Office of Hearing Services Voucher Scheme.

Northern Territory Hearing Aid Bank

The peak national body of Audiologists, the Audiological Society of Australia (Northern Territory Branch), in conjunction with one of the world's leading hearing aid manufacturers, Unitron, and leading audiological private practice, Arafura Audiology, has established the Territory's only Hearing Aid Bank. Unitron has donated $30,000 worth of miniaturised, automatic digital hearing aids, in order to provide financially disadvantaged Territorians with hearing loss access to cutting edge hearing devices.

The Hearing Aid Bank caters for those patients who are unable to self finance hearing treatment, or who are not eligible for Australian Government assistance.

Potential Hearing Aid Bank patients are fully assessed by a university qualified audiologist, specific hearing needs are identified, and individually tailored hearing rehabilitation is provided as a part of the program. Services are available throughout the Northern Territory, and are a result of collaboration between the Northern Territory and Australian Government audiology services, and private hearing clinic, Arafura Audiology.

To find out more about the Northern Territory's Hearing Aid Bank and whether you may be eligible, please contact Northern Territory Hearing Services, Australian Hearing or Arafura Audiology by calling us on (08) 8981 0013 (Darwin) or 08 8952 3110 (Alice Springs).
